Château de Malle, a living testament to the elegance of the 17th and 18th centuries, is honoured to welcome music lovers and connoisseurs of the French art de vivre to an exceptional musical evening on Thursday, 3rd July 2025, featuring a concert and aperitif in the estate’s historic formal gardens.
In a spirit of dialogue between heritage and virtuosity, this event continues the noble tradition of aristocratic entertainments, where the harmony of the setting elevates the beauty of the works performed.
At 7:00 p.m., the concert will bring together three outstanding musicians:
- Philippe Bianconi, pianist and winner of the 2nd Prize at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition
- Lilian Lefebvre, clarinettist and 1st Prize winner at the Prague Spring International Music Competition
- Nathan Mierdl, violinist and concertmaster of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France
In celebration of the anniversary year of Maurice Ravel, the programme will highlight some of the finest pieces of the French repertoire, including works by Francis Poulenc, Jules Massenet, Georges Bizet, and of course Ravel himself. Selections such as Thaïs Meditation, Romance, Une Barque sur l’Océan and Carmen-Fantaisie promise a breathtaking musical experience delivered by these internationally acclaimed artists.
At 8:30 p.m., the evening will continue with a cocktail reception in the historic gardens, celebrating the art of conversation and the pleasures of refined taste, in a bucolic and elegant atmosphere.
Organised in partnership with the Un Piano dans l’Herbe association, the event offers a unique artistic and sensory experience, uniting masterpieces of classical music with the splendour of an exceptional heritage setting.

About Un Piano dans l’Herbe
Founded in 2019, Un Piano dans l’Herbe takes its name from the eponymous play by Françoise Sagan, published in 1970. In close collaboration with the Pascaud-Devolf Artist Agency in Paris, which specialises in the representation of internationally renowned classical musicians, the association organises concerts each year in exceptional locations.
Over the years, major artists such as Jean-Marc Luisada, Philippe Bianconi and Bruno Rigutto have performed under its banner. Most concerts take place during the summer season and, whenever possible, outdoors—offering the public a unique experience at the heart of historically rich settings. The mission of Un Piano dans l’Herbe is to make art and heritage shine. Each season, the association creates evenings defined by refinement, emotion and excellence.
About Château de Malle
Château de Malle is a privately owned historic monument built in the 17th century, surrounded by 6.5 hectares of formal gardens inspired by the famous designs of Louis XIV’s Versailles. Rooted in the Enlightenment era, the estate is a gem of France’s cultural and architectural heritage.
The estate’s Grand Cru Classé vineyard, classified in 1855, spans 50 contiguous hectares and benefits from an exceptional exposure across two prestigious appellations: Graves and Sauternes. Fully certified organic, the vineyard produces wines of the highest quality, including reds, whites, sparkling wines, and noble sweet Sauternes.
In 2024, Luc and Clémence Planty breathed new life into the estate’s cultural and winegrowing legacy, opening the Château to visitors for the very first time—to the delight of families, culture enthusiasts and fine wine lovers alike.
